CLIENT STORY
We worked with East Anglian Air Ambulance to replace their traditional antivirus with endpoint detection response. Read all about it below.
Knowing we have 24/7 monitoring to match the 24/7 level of threat all organisations are experiencing is reassuring in the ever-changing cyber landscape.
Challenge
Traditional antivirus is no longer sufficient to keep your business safe from cyber threats. Something East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) take seriously.
Antivirus mainly protects based on what it already knows. The software holds a list of malicious files. And if a malicious file is detected on your device, antivirus matches this to its existing list and deletes the file from the system.
However, as cyber threats evolve, the protection provided by antivirus is declining as it struggles to detect new threats. This led us, and EAAA to undertake a review of their antivirus.
Solution
Our solution to replace East Anglian Air Ambulance’s (EAAA) antivirus was endpoint detection response – delivered through SentinelOne. Deployment of the software was automated meaning no disruption to end users at EAAA.
SentinelOne performs real-time scanning of files and behaviours on an endpoint. It then collects data and analyses this to establish threat patterns. If a suspicious behaviour is detected, SentinelOne isolates the file until it is validated, and remediates any action taken.
Additionally, SentinelOne provides 24-hour monitoring by a team of real-life people who will respond to and remediate threats live.
Result
East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) continue to work knowing that they are protected from evolving threats. Any threats that do arise are halted immediately and automated remediation occurs.
EAAA will also receive detailed timelines of any incidents, allowing them to view alert and attack history. This helps to find the source of attacks and learn from them to continue developing their security.
