John has worked in the IT industry for 24 years, dedicating 10 of those to transforming Breakwater IT to what it is today.
In October 2012, John took on the role of Senior Engineer at Breakwater. He quickly progressed and within three months was asked to lead the Service Desk team. Two years later, he was promoted to Operations Manager, a year later John was made a Director, and in 2017, John became Managing Director of Breakwater IT.
John has made significant changes to the company in his 10 years. Implementing new services, driving our employee training programme and keeping our clients at the forefront of what we do. Breakwater would not be what it is today without his dedication and hard work.
Looking back on the last 10 years, John said:
“As if I’ve been here 10 years! It’s been challenging, I can’t lie, but lots of fun at the same time. Breakwater has enabled me to meet new people, to travel and to learn. When I started, I really didn’t know that I would end up as MD, I just wanted to work somewhere that I love and to be able to make a difference. I’m very lucky to work with people that inspire me every day and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
