James joined us in February, having previously worked for a national traffic management organisation since college where his keen interest in technology led him to train in IT and undertake a Software Development degree.

What is your professional background?

I worked for a national traffic management company since I started college, beginning as an Office Administrator. With my interest of computers expressed to them I was trained up, along with some self taught experience, to become an IT Assistant. Followed by joining an IT team as part of an acquisition. During this time, I also completed a Software Development degree.

Since then I have worked in a small team and getting involved in many areas of IT such as Microsoft 365, MDMs and key technical support for business management systems launched within the business. I also once had my hand in the technical support for digital message signs that are setup on the side of roads.

If you could only keep three apps on your phone, which would you keep?

Spotify, YouTube, and Shazam.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

I completed a Software Development degree in 2022.

If you had an extra hour in the day, what would you do with it?

I would like to spend it either learning to DJ or to produce music.

Are you team iPhone or team Android?

iPhone (I like the Apple Ecosystem).

Who is the most famous person you’ve met?

I’ve met some famous DJs with over 3 Million Monthly listeners on Spotify – e.g. Restricted

If you could have invented or created anything, what would it be?

Music – I hear so many good songs and have many on repeat daily, it’d be great to create something I know I could groove to.

If you were a wrestler what would be your entrance theme song?

Never Gonna Give You Up – Rick Astley.

If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?

To be part of the Hardware / Silicon teams at Apple’s Infinite Loop HQ, the way they can design a premium feeling device and have such powerful components is really cool!
