Junior Systems Engineer
Our Junior Systems Engineers are the first point of call for incoming client IT issues. They, like Aqeel, will be the first to attempt a fix for your technical issues. When you call with a problem, they’ll begin the troubleshooting process, creating a detailed log in case the issue needs to be escalated to our Systems Engineers.
Before joining us as a Trainee Engineer in July 2024, Aqeel was doing a T-Level, with his placement being in the Cyber Security Department at Aviva. In August 2025, Aqeel completed his CompTIA A+ to become a Junior Engineer.
“I was a T-Level student, just like Adon, but had my placement at Aviva for 18 months. This consisted of me working within the Cyber Security Department with the Risk Vulnerability Management team. I shadowed a lot and was responsible adding users to their risk vulnerability software.
Before this, I started learning how to cut my own hair. It started very rocky and I took a year off as I messed my hair up a lot. I then came back to barbering when I got hired at KFC, invested some money into better equipment and have stuck with it since. I now cut my friends and my own hair independently. I have learnt how to do near enough everything from fading to scissor work, all through YouTube and TikTok.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Barbering, going to the gym, and playing games with close friends.
If you could have invented or created anything, what would it be?
Math – It’s really cool if you think about it, it’s everywhere.
