Four BWIT team members. 24-miles. Three peaks. 12 hour goal.

On 11th May 2024, Toby, Sam, Dean and Andy joined other local businesses and Break members to take on The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for Break!

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres).

Yorkshire Three Peaks Route Map

Setting off bright and early from Horton-in-Ribblesdale, the team quickly headed up Pen-y-Ghent, making it to the summit in just over two hours. They then had a long decent before making their way to Whernside, and finally ending with Ingleborough.

Throughout the challenge, they were supported by fellow walkers and the incredible team from Break, and they managed to finish 10 minutes ahead of the challenge target of 12 hours!πŸ‘

The team raised over Β£1,250 for Break, supporting their work in making life better for young people on the edge of care, in care and leaving care. Whether that’s through therapeutic services, respite breaks, providing a resilient home or support with parenting, Break are committed to supporting them.

Well done team on completing the challenge!
