Client Story

We supported The Bodycentre with a specialist project to migrate their 365 hosting from GoDaddy. Read more in the drop downs below.

In all honesty, the whole project went exceptionally well. As a result of this being a Tenant transfer from GoDaddy to Microsoft 365 there was obviously a large amount of obstacles to overcome, however, Liam was excellent throughout the whole transfer and was very persistent with the GoDaddy support team despite their lack of cooperation. He kept us up to date with everything that was going on and was very informative in detailing to us what he a done at each point in the project. Even when we didn’t understand some of the more technical Jargon, he was more than happy to explain it to us in a way we would understand. With his large amount of knowledge, on top of successfully completing this transfer, Liam also taught us a huge amount when it came to domains, tenant transfers, and even how to navigate around windows in more depth.

Challenge

The Bodycentre were looking to gain more control over their Microsoft 365 licencing. Their licencing was hosted in GoDaddy, with a higher cost and less flexibility than hosting through a Microsoft partnership.

The Bodycentre would need a full tenant migration, including the migration of their primary domain to allow mail traffic to be processed through their new services. Migrating from GoDaddy is a challenge as you must start from scratch and move everything you need over to the new service yourself – something we were pleased to support The Bodycentre in doing.

Solution

We started by creating a new Microsoft 365 tenant and transferring one of their sub-domains to enable email forwarding from their old tenant. This ensured that all their emails would be up to date and present after the final move.

We then imported their existing email data to the new tenant. Once completed, we confirmed with GoDaddy on behalf of The Bodycentre that their Microsoft 365 services were to be cancelled. This allowed us to take the final steps of moving their primary domain to the new tenant without any interruption to The Bodycentre’s operations.

Result

Following the migration, The Bodycentre now have full control over their IT services and business scalability using Intune, policy management and auto-enrolment features, allowing them to add new staff members quickly and easily.

They also have access to the full range of features and benefits of Microsoft 365, such as user management, administration, file collaboration, information protection, security services, and domain management.

In addition to the enhancements this will bring their business operations and productivity, The Bodycentre also cut their Microsoft 365 billing in half, saving them money and resources.
