Microsoft Commercial Pricing Update
Microsoft Commercial Pricing Update

At the start of November, Microsoft announced that they will be making a change to their commercial pricing.

Starting in January 2023, pricing will switch to a USD pricing model. This means that the exchange rate will now impact pricing.

Pricing will then be reviewed and updated bi-annually against the exchange rate, meaning your prices may fluctuate. When business conditions all, Microsoft will notify partners, like Breakwater, 30-days ahead of the price change.

On this update, Microsoft have said: “To become more agile and maintain global pricing alignment, beginning in 2023, Microsoft will implement a more defined and transparent cadence to provide better Microsoft cloud pricing alignment across regions. Customers and partners with pricing in local currencies will be able to plan for pricing alignment to US dollar and global parity at semiannual intervals, subject to market conditions.
