In December 2025, the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) will be switched off.

At the same time, the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) will also cease.

In its place, every phone line in the UK will move to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services.

What does this mean for your business telecoms?

When the switch off happens, all equipment that uses the PSTN will stop working. This includes fax machines, door entry systems, CCTV, alarms, EPOS systems and more.

The transition from the PSTN to VoIP will all be dependant on your current setup. But this is something we’re ready to support you with. We’ve been transitioning businesses to VoIP systems for years and can recommend the best setup for your needs. Get in touch.
